Industrial Law and Representation
June 2015 saw the Queensland Government pass the Industrial Relations (Restoring Fairness) and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2015. The Restoring Fairness Act aims to reverse a number of changes to the Queensland Industrial Relations Act 2015 which limited the rights of union entry to workplaces and collective bargaining powers. The Restoring Fairness Act also saw the introduction of the Queensland Government Union Encouragement Policy which the ASMOFQ sees as a positive step in the right direction. The policy aims to acknowledge and encourage the role of union delegates in the workplace
