This week, ASMOFQ and AMA Queensland have continued to negotiate for a fair and equitable certified agreement (MOCA4), and in particular, to uphold your rights to choose to participate in extended hours of work (outside 7am-6pm Monday to Friday).

ASMOFQ representatives have emphasised to Queensland Health that you do not want to be forced to work extended hours without your consultation and agreement. Furthermore, there must be detailed provisions to maintain safe rostering practices to prevent fatigue, and to clearly define a process to oversee the ongoing implementation of such rosters.

All the parties involved are continuing to negotiate in good faith to deliver a MOCA4 that restores fairness, in line with the position of the Queensland Government. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Renee Lamont on r.lamont@amaq.com.au.
